Mamuju, Monday (23/9) – BPS-Statistics of Sulawesi Barat Province carried out training activities for E-Commerce survey officers. This activity took place at the Aflah Hotel Mamuju for two effective days, with a total of 53 prospective officers participating from the districts of Majene, Polewali Mandar, Mamuju, Pasangkayu, and Central Mamuju.
This activity was opened by Dina Srikandi as the Person in Charge of Distribution Statistics Activities. In his speech, he emphasized that the e-commerce data that will be collected by officers will be used in calculating the GRDP of Sulawesi Barat Province and determining the direction of government policy. "This data is very important in providing basic data to support the calculation of GRDP for Sulawesi Barat," explained Dina. He also emphasized the importance of quality e-commerce data to obtain a real picture of society's conditions. "Officers are expected to focus on participating in training activities, so that later data collection activities will obtain data that can describe the real condition of the community," continued Dina.
The main indicators produced in this E-Commerce Survey are the number of e-commerce businesses, types of goods and services sold, payment methods, delivery methods, employment profiles, characteristics of e-commerce businesses, value of e-commerce transactions, media used, patterns distribution, and constraints of e-commerce businesses.
The 2024 E-Commerce Survey was carried out in 5 districts in Sulawesi Barat Province, namely Majene, Polewali Mandar, Mamuju, Pasangkayu, and Central Mamuju districts with a total sample listing of 120 census blocks. Furthermore, data collection activities will be carried out from October 1 to the end of November 2024.
