Central Statistics Agency of West Sulawesi Holds BCS Training to Improve Data Quality

Mamuju, June 24, 2024 – BPS West Sulawesi Province opened an online Business Characteristics Survey (BCS) Training on Monday, June 24, 2024. This training was attended by 26 participants consisting of BPS organic officers and BPS partners from all districts in West Sulawesi.

The Head of BPS West Sulawesi, Mrs. Tina Wahyufitri, in her speech expressed her gratitude for the hard work and commitment of each officer as the vanguard of data quality fighters in the success of BPS survey activities. He also emphasized the strategic role of BPS in supporting the achievement of the 2025-2045 National Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPN) by becoming the conductor of governance in the provision of statistics for development.

"One of the things we do is to provide quality statistical data for Indonesia Maju in accordance with the vision of BPS," said Mrs. Tina. "This officer training is one of the initial quality cars to succeed in the availability of data quality in the Business Characteristics Survey."

Business Characteristics Survey (BCS) is a survey conducted by BPS to collect data on business characteristics in Indonesia. The data obtained from this survey can be used by the government, the business world, and the wider community as material for policy formulation, planning, monitoring and evaluation, as well as scientific research related to business characteristics in Indonesia.

This BCS training is expected to increase the competence and knowledge of officers in carrying out surveys, so that it can produce quality and accountable data. This quality data will later be used to support the achievement of the Golden Indonesia Vision 2045, which is a Sovereign, Advanced, and Sustainable Archipelago.
