Closing Officer Training, Head of BPS West Sulawesi Reminds the Importance of Data Quality

Head of BPS West Sulawesi, Tina Wahyufitri, closed the Training for Special Quarterly and Annual Production Balance Survey Officers at the Grand Maleo Hotel Mamuju (7/3). At this closing activity, the Head of BPS West Sulawesi was accompanied by Associate Expert Statistics, M. La'bi.

The training lasts for 3 days effective from March 4 2024 to March 5 2024 and is carried out in a hybrid manner, namely 2 days online and 1 day offline. This training was attended by 51 participants, both BPS organics and BPS partners from districts throughout West Sulawesi

Before going into the field to collect data, survey officers, both BPS partners and BPS organics, were given training to increase understanding of the questions on the questionnaire and how to approach respondents in order to minimize bias in the answers given.

"The data collection stage is the responsibility of the provincial BPS and district BPS," explained Tina. He added that this data collection stage must be supervised well because the data produced will produce GRDP data and the aggregate of all provincial GRDP data will produce GDP data which will be accountable to the main data user, namely the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
