BPS and Unimaju Establish Collaboration, Launch Statistics Corner and Inaugurate Statistics Agent

Mamuju, 17 July 2024 – The Mamuju Regency Central Statistics Agency (BPS) strengthens its commitment to providing data and statistical literacy by inaugurating the Statistics Corner at the Mamuju Muhammadiyah University (Unimaju) today. This inauguration is part of a wider collaboration between BPS Mamuju and the Unimaju Faculty of Economics and Business.

"The hope is that BPS can become a data provider that supports Indonesia's progress and as a means of public data literacy," said Achmad Nasir, Head of BPS Mamuju.

The Unimaju Statistics Corner is expected to soon be registered with the National Statistics Corner, a platform that provides easy access to statistical data for students and the general public.

Head of BPS West Sulawesi, Tina Wahyufitri, expressed her optimism, "Our target is for Unimaju to enter next August."

The Chancellor of Unimaju, Dr H Muhammad Tahir, welcomed this initiative, emphasizing the importance of data for academic and research activities.

This collaboration also includes the inauguration of a statistical agent from among Unimaju students. This statistical agent will play an important role in disseminating statistical information and increasing data literacy in the campus environment.
