The Mamasa Regency Government, together with the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of West Sulawesi, officially launched the Village of Love Statistics (Beautiful Village) program in Buntubuda Village. This program aims to improve the quality of village data to support more targeted development.
Buntubuda Village in Mamasa Regency is the first location in West Sulawesi to implement the 2024 Beautiful Village program. This program is a joint effort between BPS, regional government and village government to increase statistical literacy, standardize data management, and optimize the use of data in village development.
Head of BPS West Sulawesi, Tina Wahyufitri, in her speech emphasized the importance of the active role of village officials and the community in carrying out statistical activities. He also hopes that this program can be successful and sustainable.
"The launch of this Beautiful Village is our first step in realizing quality statistical data for Advanced Indonesia," explained Tina.
He added that each village must have a strong cadre to become a statistical agent with the ability to collect data and disseminate information regarding statistics to every resident who lives in the area.
The Regent of Mamasa, Muhammad Zain, welcomed this initiative and hoped that Buntubuda Village could become an example for other villages in Mamasa in managing statistical data.
"I hope that the output from developing Cantik Village will be concrete, and that Buntubuda Village can become an example for other villages in Mamasa," said Zain.
The launch of the Beautiful Buntubuda Village was attended by various parties, including representatives from BPS, regional government, village government, and local community leaders. It is hoped that this activity can be a momentum to increase awareness of the importance of statistical data in village development.
