Statistics of Sulawesi Barat Province has released some strategic indicators, related to the consumer price index in August 2023, Farmers Term of Trade in August 2023, overview of tourism in July 2023, transport in July 2023, and Foreign Trade in July 2023. It was delivered by the Chief of Statistics Sulawesi Barat Province, Tina Wahyufitri, on Friday, September 1st 2023.
Here's a summary of the data submitted:
I. August 2023 Mamuju experienced inflation year on year (yoy) of 2.20%
Based on the results of the 90 city consumer price survey in Indonesia in August 2023, the highest year on year (yoy) inflation occurred in Manokwari by 6.40 percent with the CPI of 122.04 and the lowest occurred in Jambi by 1.92 percent with CPI of 116 , 37. Yoy inflation in Mamuju was 2.20 percent with CPI of 115.75 ranks nine lows of 90 CPI.
Yoy inflation in the city of Mamuju occurred because of the price increase shown by the increase in the majority of expenditure groups, namely clothing and footwear groups by 2.96 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel groups by 1.37 percent; household equipment, equipment, and household maintenance groups by 6.57 percent; health group by 3.93 percent; Transportation group of 11.03 percent; Recreation, sports and culture groups of 3.78 percent; education group by 0.75 percent; Food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 2.17 percent; and private maintenance groups and other services by 6.30 percent. While the expenditure group that experienced a decline in index was the food, beverage and tobacco groups by 0.59 percent and the financial, communication and financial services group by 1.87 percent.
Month to Month (MTM) inflation rate in August 2023 is 0.30 percent and year to date inflation rate (YTD) or the August 2023 calendar year of 1.63 percent.
II. August 2023, the exchange rate of Sulawesi Barat farmers was 121.52. Up 2.47% compared to July 2023
NTP is an IT comparison of IB that is used to show the exchange power of agricultural products with goods and services consumed and for production costs. The higher the NTP, the relatively stronger the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers.
Starting in January 2020 a change of basic year was carried out in the calculation of the price index received by farmers (IT) and the price index paid by farmers (IB) from the 2012 Basic Year = 100 to the Basic Year 2018 = 100. Both types of indexes are components in the calculation of farmers' exchange rates (NTP). This basic year change is carried out to adjust changes in production patterns, production costs, and household consumption in rural areas.
In the base year 2018 = 100 there was an increase in the scope of the number of commodities both in the IT and IB commodity packages compared to the 2012 Basic Year = 100. Sulawesi Barat NTP August 2023 amounted to 121.52 or up 2.47 percent compared to NTP July 2023 which amounted to 118.59. The increase in NTP was caused by IT which increased by 2.40 percent, while IB had decreased by 0.07 percent.
NTP according to the sub-sector is recorded for the Food Crops Subsector (NTP-P) 98.75; Horticultural Subsector (NTP-H) 104.07; Community Plantation Crops Subsector (NTP-R) 143,76; Animal Husbandry Subsector (NTP-T) 92.52; and Fisheries Subsector (NTN-P) 105.66.
III. In July 2023, Bintang Classification Hotel TPK was 43.79% and Non -Star Hotel TPK or other accommodation was 21.04%
Room occupancy rate (TPK) Hotel Star Classification in Sulawesi Barat Province in the July 2023 period of 43.79 percent. The TPK increased by 2.25 points compared to the June 2023 period which was recorded at 41.54 percent.
Room occupancy rate (TPK) of non -star hotels or other accommodation in Sulawesi Barat Province in the July 2023 period of 21.04 percent. The TPK increased by 0.54 points when compared to the June 2023 period which was recorded at 20.50 percent.
The average length of staying of the archipelago guests in the July 2023 period at the star classification hotel was recorded at 1.11 days or decreased by 0.03 days compared to the June 2023 period which was recorded at 1.14 days. Meanwhile, the average length of time for foreign guests was recorded at 1.00 days or did not change when compared to last month's conditions.
The average number of guests per hotel room classification in the July 2023 period was 1.99 people or an increase of 0.38 points compared to the June 2023 period of 1.61 people. Meanwhile, the average number of guests per non-star hotel room or other accommodation in the July 2023 period recorded at 1.97 people or increased by 0.17 points when compared to the June 2023 period of 1.80 people.
IV. The number of aircraft departed and arrived in July 2023 as many as 47 aircraft and 47 aircraft
The number of aircraft passengers departing in July 2023 was 2,505 passengers, an increase of 11.88 percent compared to June which was recorded at 2,239 passengers.
The number of aircraft passengers who arrived in July 2023 was 2,429 passengers, an increase of 0.54 percent compared to June which was recorded at 2,416 passengers.
The number of ship passengers departing in July 2023 was 1,322 passengers, an increase of 8.09 percent compared to June which was recorded at 1,223 passengers.
The number of ship passengers who arrived in July 2023 was 743 passengers, decreased by 48.33 percent compared to June which was recorded at 1,438 passengers.
V. During July 2023 the export value of Sulawesi Barat Province reached US $ 51.47 million and the import value of Sulawesi Barat Province reached US $ 8.76 million
The export value of Sulawesi Barat Province in July 2023 reached US $ 51.47 million, down 31.54 percent compared to June 2023. The same condition compared to July 2022 where there was a decline of 19.19 percent.
Animal/Vegetable Oil is a major export commodity in Sulawesi Barat Province during July 2023 with a contribution of 95.21 percent of the total exports of Sulawesi Barat Province.
China became the largest destination country for the export of Sulawesi Barat Province during July 2023 with a contribution of 48.87 percent.
Cumulatively, the export value of Sulawesi Barat Province rose by 12.91 percent, from US $ 239.91 million (January-July 2022) to US $ 270.89 million (January-July 2023).
During July 2023, the value of imports in Sulawesi Barat Province was US $ 8.76 million. This condition is different from June 2023 which is not recorded for imports, as well as July 2022 which is also not recorded for import activities.
Cumulatively, the import value of Sulawesi Barat Province rose by 562.35 percent, from US $ 1.59 million (January-July 2022) to US $ 10.56 million (January-July 2023).
Foreign Trade Statistics Data, is the result of compilation of trade transaction data between countries, both export and import transactions. Export statisties are realization data from trading transactions sourced in the Export Notification Document (PEB). Whereas import statistical data, sourced from the goods import notification document (PIB). The document was approved by the Customs and Excise and Excise Services Office (KPPBC). In its preparation, the type of commodity is grouped based on the Harmonized System (HS) classification as in the Indonesian Customs Rates (BTKI). Besides that, it also contains information about trade transportation traffic in the port of export goods to the destination country and the port of unloading from the country of origin of imported goods.
