BPS-Statistics Sulawesi Barat Province has released several of the latest strategic indicators, related to the December 2023 consumer price index, December 2023 Farmers Exchange Rate, November 2023 Foreign Trade, November 2023 Transportation Development, November 2023 Tourism Development, and Human Development Index 2023 in Sulawesi Barat. This was conveyed by the Head of Sulawesi Barat Province BPS, Tina Wahyufitri, on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024.
Here is a summary of these data:
I. December 2023 Mamuju experienced inflation year on year (yoy) of 1.82 percent
Based on the results of a 90 city consumer price survey in Indonesia in December 2023, the highest year on year (yoy) inflation occurred in Sumenep by 5.08 percent with CPI of 120.82 and the lowest occurred in Bandung with yoy inflation of 0.63 percent with CPI is 116.16. Yoy inflation in Mamuju was 1.82 percent with CPI of 115.96 ranks 8th of the lowest of 90 CPI.
Yoy inflation in the city of Mamuju occurs because of the price increase shown by the increase in the majority of expenditure groups, namely the food, beverage and tobacco groups 2.09 percent; clothing and footwear by 3.21 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 1.08 percent; Groups of Equipment, Equipment, and Routine Maintenance of Households by 1.37 percent; health group by 1.57 percent; Transportation group of 1.94 percent; Recreation, sports and culture groups by 1.80 percent; education group by 0.75 percent; Food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 2.19 percent; and personal maintenance groups and other services by 3.31 percent. While the expenditure group that experienced a decline in index was the information, communication and financial services group by 1.08 percent.
The inflation rate of Month to Month (MTM) December 2023 is 0.14 percent and the inflation rate of the year to date (YTD) or the December 2023 calendar year is 1.82 percent.
II. December 2023, the exchange rate of Sulawesi Barat farmers was 129.60. Up 1.23% compared to November 2023
NTP is an IT comparison of IB that is used to show the exchange power of agricultural products with goods and services consumed and for production costs. The higher the NTP, the relatively stronger the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers.
Starting in January 2020 a change of basic year was carried out in the calculation of the price index received by farmers (IT) and the price index paid by farmers (IB) from the 2012 Basic Year = 100 to the Basic Year 2018 = 100. Both types of indexes are components in the calculation of farmers' exchange rates (NTP). This basic year change is carried out to adjust changes in production patterns, production costs, and household consumption in rural areas. In the base year 2018 = 100 there was an increase in the scope of the number of commodities both in the IT and IB commodity packages compared to the 2012 Basic Year = 100.
Sulawesi Barat NTP December 2023 amounted to 129.60 or up 1.23 percent compared to NTP November 2023 which amounted to 128.03. Increased NTP is caused by an increase in IT which is faster than the increase in IB. IT recorded an increase of 1.80 percent and IB which also increased by 0.56 percent.
NTP according to the subsector is recorded for the Food Crops Sub-sector (NTP-P) 105.65; Horticultural Subsector (NTP-H) 110.10; People's Plantation Crops Subsector (NTP-R) 156.67; Animal Husbandry Subsector (NTP-T) 93.03; and Fisheries Sub-sector (NTN-P) 97.55.
III. During November 2023 the export value of Sulawesi Barat Province reached US $ 34.09 million and the import of Sulawesi Barat Province reached US $ 0.82 million
The export value of Sulawesi Barat Province in November 2023 reached US $ 34.09 million, down 4.04 percent compared to October 2023. The same condition compared to November 2022 where there was a decrease of 12.14 percent.
Animal/Vegetable Oil is a major export commodity in Sulawesi Barat Province during November 2023 with a contribution of 89.97 percent of the total exports of Sulawesi Barat Province.
China became the largest destination country for the export of Sulawesi Barat Province during November 2023 with a contribution of 75.98 percent.
Cumulatively, the export value of Sulawesi Barat Province rose by 1.52 percent, from US $ 428.10 million (January-November 2022) to US $ 434.61 million (January-November 2023).
During November 2023, the value of imports of goods to the Province of Sulawesi Barat was US $ 0.82 million or an increase of 18.37 percent compared to October 2023.
Cumulatively, the import value of Sulawesi Barat Province rose by 242.17 percent, from US $ 3.75 million (January-November 2022) to US $ 12.85 million (January-November 2023).
Foreign Trade Statistics Data, is the result of compilation of trade transaction data between countries, both export and import transactions. Export statistical data is a realization data from trading transactions sourced in the Export Notification Document (PEB). Whereas import statistical data, sourced from the goods import notification document (PIB). The document was approved by the Customs and Excise and Excise Services Office (KPPBC). In its preparation, the type of commodity is grouped based on the Harmonized System (HS) classification as in the Indonesian Customs Rates (BTKI). Besides that, it also contains information about trade transportation traffic in the port of export goods to the destination country and the port of unloading from the country of origin of imported goods.
IV. In November 2023, Room occupancy Rate of Classified Hotel was 43.13 percent and Non -Star Hotel or other accommodation was 21.24 percent
Room occupancy rate (TPK) Classified Hotel in Sulawesi Barat Province in the November 2024 period of 43.13 percent. The TPK decreased by 4.92 points compared to the October 2023 period which was recorded at 48.05 percent.
Room occupancy rate (TPK) of non-Classified hotels or other accommodations in Sulawesi Barat Province in the November 2023 period of 21.24 percent. The TPK increased by 1.98 points compared to the October 2023 period which was recorded at 19.26 percent.
The average length of staying of the archipelago guests in the November 2023 period at the star classification hotel was recorded at 1.32 days or did not change when compared to the October 2023 period. Meanwhile, no foreign guests stayed at the Claassified Hotel during November 2023. The same condition when compared to October 2023.
The average number of guests per hotel room classification in the November 2023 period was recorded at 1.93 people or an increase of 0.03 points when compared to last month's conditions recorded at 1.90 people. Meanwhile, the average number of guests per non-star hotel room or other accommodation in the November 2023 period recorded at 1.95 people or did not change compared to the October 2023 period which was recorded at 1.90 people.
V. The number of aircraft came and departed in November 2023 as many as 52 aircraft, and the number of ships came and departed in November 2023 as many as 222 ships
The number of aircraft passengers departing in November 2023 was 2,580 passengers, decreased by 4.41 percent compared to October which was recorded at 2,699 passengers.
The number of aircraft passengers who arrived in November 2023 was 2,504 passengers, decreased by 8.88 percent compared to October which was recorded at 2,748 passengers.
The number of ship passengers departing in November 2023 was 2,001 passengers, an increase of 40.52 percent compared to October which was recorded at 1,424 passengers. The number of ship passengers who arrived in November 2023 was 1,514 passengers, an increase of 17.82 percent compared to October which was recorded at 1,285 passengers.
