In February 2024, Year on Year (Y-On-Y) inflation in Sulawesi Barat Province was 2.22 percent with a consumer price index (CPI) of 105.37. The highest inflation occurred in Majene Regency by 2.59 percent with CPI of 106.15 and the lowest occurred in Mamuju by 1.63 percent with CPI of 104.15.

Y-on-Y inflation occurs due to the increase in prices shown by the increase in the expenditure group index, namely: food, beverage and tobacco groups by 3.99 percent; Groups of equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance by 0.16 percent; health group by 3.84 percent; Transportation group by 1.18 percent; Recreation, sports and culture groups by 1.52 percent; education group by 0.67 percent; Food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 6.16 percent; and private maintenance groups and other services by 0.93 percent. While the expenditure group that experienced a decrease in index, namely: clothing and footwear groups by 0.78 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 0.04 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group of 0.25 percent.

The inflation rate of Month to Month (M-to-M) of Sulawesi Barat Province is 0.08 percent and the inflation rate of year to date (y-to-D) is 0.15 percent.
