In October 2024, there was year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Sulawesi Barat Province of 1.63 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.26. The highest inflation occurred in Mamuju at 2.02 percent with a CPI of 105.85 and the lowest occurred in Majene Regency at 1.36 percent with a CPI of 106.52.

The y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 2.86 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.57 percent; housing, air, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.44 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.56 percent; transportation group by 0.27 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by 0.33 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 1.21 percent; education group by 2.94 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 1.15 percent; and personal care and other services group by 2.67 percent.
