December 2024 Inflation Year On Year (y-on-y) of Sulawesi Barat Province was 1.49 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Mamuju by 2.47 percent

In December 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Sulawesi Barat Province will be 1.49 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.78. The highest inflation occurred in Mamuju at 2.47 percent with a CPI of 106.08 and the lowest occurred in Majene Regency at 0.87 percent with a CPI of 107.23.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in eight expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 3.08 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.20 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.40 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.67 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.01 percent; education group at 2.94 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 0.45 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 2.11 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: the health group by 1.30 percent; transportation group by 0.05 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.35 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate for Sulawesi Barat Province is 0.66 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate is 1.49 percent.
