Abstract

Inflation in Mamuju in August 2014 occurred because of an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the price index in 6 expenditure groups, namely: the processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group 1.38 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group 0.43 percent; clothing group 1.16 percent; health group 0.39 percent; education, recreation and sports group 1.48 percent; and transportation, communication and financial services 0.37 percent. Meanwhile, the foodstuffs group experienced an index decline of -0.42 percent.
