Abstract

PORTRAIT OF HOUSING IN SULAWESI BARAT PROVINCE (SUSENAS RESULTS 2007) o The use of zinc as a roof is the most widely used by households in Sulawesi Barat Province, which is 63.71%. Meanwhile, the use of asbestos as a roof is very little in demand, which is 2.12%. o Households in Sulawesi Barat Province use wood more as a wall compared to other types of roofs, such as walls and bamboo. Where the use of wood is 66.06%, while other types of walls are 33.94%. o Most of the households in West Sulawesi Province, namely 86.91% have a floor area of ​​20-99 m² with the type of floor most used is not land, which is 91.82%. o Around 66.83% of households in Sulawesi Barat Province have fulfilled one of the criteria for a healthy and good house, which is a minimum floor area per capita of 10 m². This is particularly evident in Polewali Mandar District where almost 80% of households have a per capita floor area> 10 m². o The use of electricity as a source of lighting has been enjoyed by more than 50% of households, both PLN and non-PLN electricity. o Drinking water consumed by households in West Sulawesi Province generally comes from protected wells (33.82%). o More than 50% of households in Sulawesi Barat Province have a distance of drinking water sources to the disposal of feces more than 10 m.
