Abstract

Hotel Room Occupancy Rates (TPK) SULAWESI BARAT PROVINCE, 2007 9 The highest Room Occupancy Rate for Starred Hotels occurred in July at 45.16 percent, while the lowest was at 17.47 percent in January. The average TPK of Starred Hotels in 2007 was 30.57 percent, which means that the average of all rooms used every night at the 2007 Starred Hotels was 30.57 percent. 9 If you look closely, the TPK of Other Accommodations for the same month is always greater when compared to Starred Hotels. This condition reflects that users of accommodation services tend to choose to stay at other accommodations, perhaps because the rates are relatively cheaper than star hotel rates. On average, the ROR for the Other Accommodations classification is 46.21 percent, or 15.64 points higher than the average ROR for starred hotels. 9 In the classification of Starred Hotels in 2007 the average length of stay of archipelago guests was 1.67 days or 0.14 points greater than foreign guests with an average length of stay of 1.53 days. Furthermore, in the Other Accommodation classification the average length of stay of foreign guests was 7.36 days or 5.39 points greater than that of Nusantara guests with an average length of stay of 1.97 days. 9 On average Guest Per Room (GPR) or the average number of Guests per Room for Starred Hotels is 1.67 or 0.03 points higher than Other Accommodation GPRs with a GPR of 1.64. This means that the average rooms sold in the Classified Hotel classification is inhabited by 1.67 people, while in the Other Accommodation classification the average rooms sold is occupied by 1.64 people.
