Mamuju, 1 July 2024 – Head of BPS-Statistic of Sulawesi Barat Province, Tina Wahyufitri, was one of the resource persons in the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) in Transformational Leadership Research carried out by researchers from STIA LAN Makassar Polytechnic. The activity, which was held in the Regional Secretary's House Hall, was attended by the Head of the Communications and Information Technology Service and several other leadership elements on Monday (1/7).
This research is qualitative in nature by trying to explore sources, namely leaders in the West Sulawesi Government, both vertical agencies and the Regional Government. The research team consisted of STIA LAN Polytechnic lecturers, Najmi Kamariah and Aulia Rahman, as well as the Sulawesi Barat Regional Secretary, Muhammad Idris.
Najmi explained that the background to the selection of Sulawesi Barat was to become a region with an increase in the Regional Competitiveness Index (IDSD) 2022-2023, so it was necessary to study what drives this achievement. "Sulawesi Barat's IDSD will increase the highest in 2023, which is the reason for choosing Sulawesi Barat as the research locus," explained Najmi. Aulia further explained that the criteria for transformational leaders were based on studies from BRIN and other research which needed to be carried out in more depth by collecting primary and secondary data. "We will collect macro data from BPS West Sulawesi and primary data from direct interviews with resource persons," explained Aulia.
Tina Wahyufitri appreciates what this research team has done and is very open to providing the required data, both secondary and primary data. "If I need more data and discussion, I will spend time in the office," explained Tina. "We also have a data service that is open at all times called the Integrated Statistical Service (PST)," continued Tina.
Najmi is very grateful for the extraordinary appreciation and welcome from the Head of BPS-Statistic of Sulawesi Barat Province. He hopes to continue the discussion until the research is complete and can make a real contribution to the nation. (*)
