Abstract

The Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) of West Sulawesi in November 2013 was 104.44, an increase of 0.13 percent compared to the October 2013 FTT of 104.31. In addition, FTT according to the subsector was recorded for the Food Crop sub-sector (FTT-P) 82.53; Horticulture Subsector (NTP-H) 89.82; People's Plantation Plant Subsector (NTP-R) 138,20; Livestock Subsector (NTP-T) 113.82; and Fisheries Subsector (NTN) 105.78.

The results of monitoring consumer prices in rural areas showed that rural deflation in West Sulawesi in November 2013 was 0.17 percent, which was generally triggered by a decrease in the price index of food expenditure groups by 0.53 percent. While six other expenditure groups experienced inflation, where the processed food expenditure group was 0.01 percent, the housing expenditure group was 0.34 percent, the clothing expenditure group was 0.34 percent, the health expenditure group was 0.30 percent, the education, recreation and sports expenditure group body 0.10 percent; and transportation and communication expenditure group 0.41 percent.

Inflation in rural areas occurred in 23 provinces, the highest in North Sulawesi was 0.68 percent and the lowest was in the Special Region of Yogyakarta 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, deflation occurred in 9 provinces, the highest in Lampung -0.33 percent and the lowest in West Kalimantan -0.03 percent. West Sulawesi ranks third highest out of 9 provinces experiencing deflation

For the national scale, the NTP in November 2013 was 105.15 and experienced rural inflation of 0.14 percent.
