The Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) of West Sulawesi in April 2013 was 104.64, up 0.63 percent compared to the March 2013 NTP of 103.99. In addition, FTT according to the subsector was recorded for the Food Crop sub-sector (FT-P) 88.26; Horticulture Subsector (NTP-H) 88.12; People's Plantation Plant Subsector (NTP-R) 129.74; Animal Husbandry Subsector (NTP-T) 113.27; and Fisheries Subsector (NTN) 107.29.
The results of monitoring of rural consumer prices show that rural inflation in West Sulawesi in April 2013 was 0.05 percent, which was generally triggered by an increase in the price index of four expenditure groups, namely the processed food expenditure group by 0.50 percent, the health expenditure group 0.44 percent, the education, recreation and sports expenditure group 0.13 percent, and the transportation and communication expenditure group 0.01 percent. While the other three expenditure groups, namely the food expenditure group, the housing expenditure group, and the clothing expenditure group, experienced rural deflation of 0.09 percent, 0.30 percent and 0.23 percent, respectively.
Inflation in rural areas occurred in 19 provinces, the highest in Central Kalimantan 0.76 percent and the lowest in West Kalimantan 0.02 percent. While the 13 provinces experienced rural deflation, the highest was Gorontalo -0.53 percent and the lowest was West Java -0.02 percent.
For the national scale, NTP in April 2013 was 104.55 and experienced rural deflation of 0.02 percent.
