The Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) of West Sulawesi in February 2013 was 104.31, down 0.37 percent compared to the January 2013 NTP which was 104.69. In addition, FTT according to the subsector was recorded for the 88.00 Food Crop subsector (NTP-P); Horticulture Subsector (NTP-H) 87.66; Community Plantation Plant Subsector (NTP-R) 128.64; Livestock Subsector (NTP-T) 113,37; and Fisheries Subsector (NTN) 107.09.
The results of monitoring of rural consumer prices show that rural inflation in West Sulawesi in February 2013 was 0.01 percent, which was generally driven by an increase in the price index of five expenditure groups, namely food expenditure by 0.13 percent, housing expenditure by 0.02 percent, the health expenditure group 0.11 percent, the clothing expenditure group 0.20 percent, and the transportation and communication expenditure group 0.30 percent. While the other two expenditure groups, namely the education, recreation and sports expenditure group and the processed food expenditure group, experienced deflation of 0.08 percent and 0.40 percent, respectively.
Inflation in rural areas occurred in 32 provinces, the highest in East Kalimantan 1.01 percent and the lowest in West Sulawesi 0.01 percent.
On a national scale, the NTP in February 2013 was 105.19 and experienced rural inflation of 0.66 percent.
