The Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) of West Sulawesi in August 2013 was 102.97, down 0.75 percent compared to the July 2013 NTP which was 103.75. In addition, FTT according to the subsector was recorded for the Food Crop sub-sector (FT-P) 82.88; Horticulture Subsector (NTP-H) 88.94; People's Plantation Plant Subsector (NTP-R) 131,52; Livestock Subsector (NTP-T) 112.73; and Fisheries Subsector (NTN) 106.20.
The results of monitoring of rural consumer prices show that rural inflation in West Sulawesi in August 2013 was 1.94 percent, which was generally triggered by an increase in the price index of all expenditure groups, namely food expenditure by 3.14 percent, processed food expenditure by 0, 91 percent, the housing expenditure group 0.09 percent, the clothing expenditure group 0.53 percent, the health expenditure group 0.44 percent, the education, recreation and sports expenditure group 0.38 percent, and the transportation and communication expenditure group 1.66 percent .
Inflation in rural areas occurred in all provinces, the highest in Gorontalo 3.10 percent and the lowest in West Kalimantan 0.04 percent. West Sulawesi, which experienced inflation of 1.94 percent, ranked fifth out of 32 provinces.
For the national scale, the NTP in August 2013 was 104.32 and experienced rural inflation of 0.96 percent.
