Abstract

West Sulawesi Farmer Exchange (NTP) in March 2013 was 103.99 down 0.31 percent compared to February 2013's NTP which was 104.31. In addition, FTT according to the subsector was recorded for the Food Crop subsector (FTT-P) 87.62; Horticulture Subsector (NTP-H) 87.77; Community Plantation Plant Subsector (NTP-R) 128.47; Livestock Subsector (NTP-T) 112.98; and Fisheries Subsector (NTN) 106.58.

The results of monitoring of rural consumer prices show that rural inflation in West Sulawesi in March 2013 was 0.39 percent, which was generally driven by an increase in the price index of six expenditure groups, namely food expenditure by 0.60 percent, health expenditure by 0.59 percent, the processed food expenditure group 0.30 percent, the transportation and communication expenditure group 0.09 percent, the housing expenditure group 0.06 percent, and the education, recreation and sports expenditure group 0.03 percent. While the rest, namely clothing expenditure group, experienced a deflation of 0.03 percent.

Inflation in rural areas occurred in 32 provinces, the highest in Central Java 1.11 percent and the lowest in Maluku 0.09 percent.

For the national scale, NTP in March 2013 was 104.53 and experienced rural inflation of 0.76 percent.
