Development of West Sulawesi Transportation in January 2013

Abstract

The number of planes leaving in January 2013 was 33 flights, down 26.67 percent compared to December 2012 of 45 flights. When compared with January of the previous year there was a decrease of 23.26 percent, which only reached 43 flights.

The number of air transport passengers departing through Tampapadang Airport, Mamuju, West Sulawesi during January 2013 was 1,741 people. When compared with the situation in December 2012 which reached 2,106 people, this means a decrease of around 17.33 percent. Likewise, if compared with the conditions in January of the previous year which reached 1,622 people, there was an increase of 7.34 percent.

The amount of goods unloaded through the Tampa Padang Mamuju Airport in West Sulawesi during January 2013 was 8,921 kg, which means a decrease of about 22.08 percent when compared to the situation in December 2012 which was recorded at 11,449 kg. The same thing happened when compared to the condition of January of the previous year which was 10,653 kg, or decreased by around 16.26 percent.

The number of shipping through West Sulawesi during the period of January 2013 was 274 units, which means an increase of about 58.38 percent when compared to the situation in December 2012 which reached 173 units. Likewise, if compared with the condition in January of the previous year which reached 187 units, it also increased by 46.52 percent.

The number of sea transport passengers departing through West Sulawesi during January 2013 was around 1,973 people, compared to 1,896 people in December 2012, an increase of around 4.06 percent. When compared with the condition of January of the previous year which reached 2,965 people, this condition also decreased by 33.46 percent.
