Abstract

Farmer (NTP) Sulawesi Barat April 2012 amounted to 104.17 up 0.06 percent compared to NTP in March 2012 which amounted to 104.11. In addition, the NTP according subsector subsector recorded for Food Crops (NTP-P) 89.39; Horticulture Subsector (NTP-H) 84.52; Smallholder Crop Subsector (NTP-R) 130.32; Livestock Subsector (NTP-T) 112.15; and Fisheries Subsector (NTN) 104.60.

The monitoring results indicate the occurrence of rural consumer price inflation in the rural areas of Sulawesi Barat in April 2012 at 0.04 percent, which is generally due to the increase in the price index on four types of expenses, transportation and communication 0.34 percent, 0.29 percent processed foods , clothing 0.18 percent, 0.06 percent and health groups. Two groups of expenditure that deflation is housing expenditure groups -0.22 percent and -0.09 percent foodstuffs. Meanwhile, the education, recreation and sport tend not to change the price.

Inflation in rural areas occurred in 31 provinces, the highest in West Papua 0.90 percent and the lowest in Sulawesi Barat 0.04 percent to inflation rates in the rural areas of Sulawesi Barat ranks 31 out of 31 provinces. While deflation occurs only in West Nusa Tenggara with -0.11 percent.

On a national scale, the NTP in April 2012 amounted to 104.71 and rural areas experienced inflation of 0.30 percent.
