Abstract
Based on the results of the Consumer Price Survey of 66 cities in Indonesia in July 2010, it turned out that all cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Bengkulu 3.03 percent with CPI 128.01 and lowest in Tanjung Pinang 0.12 percent with CPI 122.02. Meanwhile, with inflation of 0.57 percent and CPI 123.83 Mamuju ranked 64th. The Mamuju City inflation rate in 2010 (December 2009 - July 2010) was 2.03 percent, while the year on year inflation rate (July 2009 - July 2010) was 4.33 percent. Meanwhile, on a national scale, inflation in July 2010 in Indonesia amounted to 1.57 percent, with CPI 121.74. Indonesia's inflation rate in 2010 (December 2009 - July 2010) was 4.02 percent, while the year on year inflation rate (July 2009 - July 2010) was 6.22 percent. Inflation in Mamuju in July 2010 was generally caused by an increase in the consumer price index in the following five categories of goods and services: foodstuffs group 1.89 percent; processed foods, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group 0.32 percent; clothing group 0.06 percent; education, recreation and sports group 0.27 percent; and the transportation, communication and financial services group of 0.30 percent. Meanwhile, the housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group and the health group experienced a decrease of 0.29 percent and 0.05 percent, respectively. Significant increase in the foodstuffs group was due to the large share of inflation in the spices sub group and the fresh fish sub group of 0.57 percent and 0.22 percent, respectively. While the increase which was also quite significant in the processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group was due to the large share of inflation in the non-alcoholic beverages sub-group by 1.66 percent. Commodities contributing to inflation are: 0.26 percent garlic, 0.16 percent red chilli, 0.13 percent katamba fresh fish, 0.09 percent broiler eggs, 0.08 percent onion, milkfish 0, 06 percent, granulated sugar, vehicle registration renewal services and elevated fresh fish 0.05 percent respectively, 0.04 percent cayenne pepper, 0.03 percent vegetable tomatoes, rice, chicken meat, brown sugar, tamarind, fresh fish and tuna white cabbage / cabbage 0.02 percent each, and martabak, wet anchovies, wet shrimp, potatoes, young long bean leaves, men's shoes and school bags 0.01 percent each. Meanwhile, commodities that contributed to inflation but were negative: kangkung -0.16 percent, spinach -0.14 percent, coconut oil -0.08 percent, fresh skipjack fish -0.05 percent, young jackfruit, zinc and beans the length of each is -0.03 percent, and cement -0.02 percent.
