Abstract

HOTEL LEVEL OF HOTEL ROOM (TPK) PROVINCE OF SULAWESI BARAT, QUARTER I OF 2008 9 Room Occupancy Rate for Starred Hotels in Starred Hotels in Quarter I 2008, the highest occurred in March of 22.87 percent, while the lowest was 20 , 64 percent in February. On average, the ROR for starred hotels in the first quarter of 2008 was 21.47 percent, which means that the average of all rooms used every night in starred hotels in the first quarter of 2008 was 21.47 percent. 9 If you look closely, the TPK of Other Accommodations in the First Quarter of 2008, is always greater than Starred Hotels. This condition reflects that users of accommodation services tend to choose to stay at other accommodations, perhaps because the rates are relatively cheaper than star hotel rates. On average, the ROR for the Other Accommodations classification is 35.54 percent or 16.09 points higher than the average ROR for starred hotels. 9 In the classification of Starred Hotels in Quarter I of 2008, the average length of stay of Nusantara guests was 1.19 days. Furthermore, in the Other Accommodation classification the average length of stay of foreign guests was 1.00 days or 0.62 points lower than that of Nusantara guests with an average length of stay of 1.62 days. 9 On an average Guest Per Room (GPR) or the average number of Guests per Room for a Starred Hotel is 1.83 or 0.15 points higher than Other Accommodation GPR with a GPR of 1.68. This means that the average rooms sold in the Classified Hotel classification is inhabited by 1.83 people, while in the Other Accommodation classification the average rooms sold is occupied by 1.68 people.
