Mamuju, November 28, 2024 - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of West Sulawesi Province together with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) held a training for officers for the 2025 National Survey of Financial Literacy and Inclusion (SNLIK) in Mamuju, November 28-30, 2024. This training aims to improve the capacity of officers in collecting accurate data on the level of financial literacy and inclusion of the West Sulawesi community.
In her remarks, the Supervisory Analyst for OJK of South Sulawesi and West Sulawesi Provinces, Stella, said that SNLIK is an important activity to determine the level of public understanding and access to financial products and services.
"The data obtained from this survey will be used as evaluation material for the government in formulating more targeted policies to improve public financial literacy and inclusion," said Stella.
In line with Stella, Head of General Affairs of BPS Sulbar, Markus Uda, who represented the Head of BPS Sulbar, emphasized the importance of the role of officers in producing quality data.
"Field officers have a very crucial role in the success of this survey. Therefore, this training is very important to equip them with the knowledge and skills needed," said Markus.
This training includes materials on survey methodology, questionnaires, and interview techniques. Participants were also given the opportunity to practice directly using the CAPI application that will be used in data collection.
