Mamuju, 1 July 2024 – The West Sulawesi Province Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported an increase in Hotel Room Occupancy Rates (TPK) in West Sulawesi in May 2024. Both star and non-star hotels experienced an increase in TPK, indicating an increase in tourism activity in the province This.
"TPK for star hotels in West Sulawesi rose to 28.51 percent in May 2024, an increase of 9.09 points from the previous month," said Tina Wahyufitri, Head of BPS West Sulawesi Province. "Non-star hotels also experienced an increase in ROR of 3.16 points to 19.67 percent."
Even though TPK has increased, the average length of stay for guests in both star and non-star hotels will experience a slight decrease in May 2024. BPS will continue to monitor developments in the tourism sector in West Sulawesi and provide the latest information to the public.
