Mamuju, 1 April 2024 – The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of West Sulawesi Province (Sulbar) recorded that the Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of Star Classified Hotels in West Sulawesi had increased by 7.24 percent in February 2024 compared to January 2024.
"The TPK for Star Classified Hotels in West Sulawesi in February 2024 reached 34.08 percent," said Head of BPS West Sulawesi, Tina Wahyufitri, in a press release, Monday (1/4).
The increase in ROR also occurred in non-star hotels or other accommodation, namely 4.40 points from 16.40 percent in January 2024 to 20.80 percent in February 2024.
"This increase in TPK shows that there is movement in the West Sulawesi tourism sector," explained Tina.
The average length of stay for Indonesian guests at Star Classified Hotels in February 2024 has also increased, namely from 1.14 days in January 2024 to 1.41 days.
Meanwhile, the average number of guests per Star Classified Hotel room experienced a slight decrease, from 2.01 people in January 2024 to 1.98 people in February 2024.
