Paddy Harvested Area and Production in Sulawesi Barat Province 2023

Integrated Food Crop Agricultural Statistics Data Collection with the Area Sample Framework (KSA) Method is an activity carried out through collaboration between BPS Statistics with the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT) the National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (LAPAN) which is now merged into the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (Ministry of ATR/BPN), and the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG). This activity is included in the national project to support the achievement of one of the national priorities, namely food security in the context of improving food statistical data, which began to be implemented nationally in 2018. The main objective of this activity is to produce objective, scientific, and technologically advanced rice harvest area data, so that the collected rice production data is more accurate, faster, and more timely. This publication, Paddy Harvested Area and Production in Sulawesi Barat Province 2023, presents the results of the implementation of KSA data collection during 2023. In addition, this report also presents information on the potential for rice planting obtained from field observations.
