Abstract

Paddy Harvested Area and Production in Sulawesi Barat Province 2022 presents the results of the implementation of Area Sample Frame Method (KSA) data collection during 2022. Integrated Food Crop Agricultural Statistics Data Collection using the Area Sample Frame Method (KSA) is an activity carried out through collaboration between the BPS-Statistics Indonesia and the Assessment Agency and Application of Technology (BPPT) the National Aeronautics and Space Agency (LAPAN) which is now merged into the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (Ministry of ATR/BPN), and the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG ). This activity is included in a national project to support the achievement of one of the national priorities, namely food security in the context of improving food statistical data, which began to be implemented nationally in 2018. The main aim of this activity is to produce objective, scientific, rice harvest area data, and involves the role of the latest technology, so that the rice production data collected is more accurate, faster and timely. Apart from that, this publication also presents information regarding the potential for rice planting obtained from field observations.
