Abstract
Human development in Sulawesi Barat continues to experience progress marked by the continued increase in Sulawesi Barat Human Development Index (HDI). In 2021, Sulawesi Barat HDI was recorded at 66.36. This figure increased by 0.25 points or grew by 0.38 percent compared to the state of 2020.
All components of Sulawesi Barat HDI forming in 2021 were recorded to increase, unless the per capita expenditure component was adjusted.
Life expectancy (UHH), namely a newborn baby in 2021 recorded a chance to live up to 65.25 years, 0.19 years longer than the previous year.
The long school hope (HLS), the children who in 2021 were 7 years old had the opportunity to go to school for 12.86 years, 0.09 years longer than conditions in 2020.
Likewise, the average of the school (RLS), namely the population aged 25 years and over in 2021 on average has been educated for 7.96 years, 0.07 years longer than the previous year.
In 2021, the Sulawesi Barat community was recorded to meet the needs of living with a customized per capita expenditure average (constant price of 2012) of 9.15 million rupiah per year, decreased by 15 thousand rupiah compared to the previous year.
