In October 2021, Mamuju experienced deflation of 0.07 percent

Abstract

  • This deflation occurred because of the price decline shown by the decline in several expenditure group indices namely food, beverage and tobacco groups 0.12 percent; equipment group, equipment, and routine maintenance of households 0.10 percent; Health group 0.79 percent; transportation group of 0.23 percent; Information group, communication and financial services 0.04 percent; and personal care groups and other services 0.48 percent. While the expenditure group experiencing inflation is a clothing group and 0.07 percent footwear; housing groups, water, electricity, and household fuel 0.12 percent; and a group of recreation, sports and culture of 0.81 percent.

  • The level of change in the calendar year in October 2021 in Mamuju recorded an inflation of 3.02 percent and the level of change in the year of the year (October 2021 against October 2020) showed an inflation of 3.41 percent.

  • Based on the results of the consumer price survey of 90 cities in Indonesia in October 2021, it showed that 68 cities experienced inflation and 22 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Sampit of 2.06 percent and the lowest in Sumenep and Banyuwangi of 0.02 percent. While the highest deflation occurred in Kendari of 0.70 percent and the lowest in Bengkulu was 0.02 percent.
