Abstract
• In August 2021, Mamuju experienced a deflation of 0.10 percent. This deflation occurs because of the price decline indicated by the decline in several expenditure group indexes namely food, beverage and tobacco groups of 0.21 percent; Group equipment, equipment, and routine maintenance of households 0.10 percent; Transportation group 1.03 percent; and a group of recreation, sports and culture of 0.01 percent. While the expenditure group experiencing inflation is a group of clothing and footwear 0.30 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups 0.22 percent; 0.01 percent health group; Information group, communication and financial services of 0.22 percent; 0.71 percent education group; and personal care groups and other services 0.21 percent.
• The level of changes in the calendar year in August 2021 in Mamuju recorded an inflation of 3.89 percent and the level of change in the year of the year (August 2021 against August 2020) showed an inflation of 3.59 percent.
• Based on the results of the consumer price survey of 90 cities in Indonesia in August 2021, showing that 34 cities experienced inflation and 56 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Kendari by 0.62 percent and the lowest in Tanjung by 0.01 percent. While the highest deflation occurred in Sorong by 1.04 percent and the lowest in Timika, Meulaboh, and Sukabumi with deflation of 0.03 percent respectively.
