Abstract

• Based on the Consumer Price Survey of 90 cities in Indonesia in August 2020, showed that 37 cities experienced inflation and 53 cities experienced deflation. Highest inflation occurred in Meulaboh by 0.88 percent and the lowest in Kediri, Kotamobagu, and Batam with respective inflation by 0.02 percent. While the highest deflation occurred in Kupang at 0.92 percent and the lowest in Banyuwangi, Bekasi, Sibolga, and Tembilahan with each deflation of 0.01 percent. Occupy Mamuju sequence of all 40 of the 53 cities that experienced deflation.
• Deflation in Mamuju in August 2020 due to decreased price indicated by the decline in some types of expenses, the group index of food, beverages and tobacco 0.39 percent; health 0.03 percent; and transportation 0.29 percent.
• The rate of change of the calendar year index in August 2020 in Mamuju is 2.07 percent and the rate of inflation index change year to year (August 2020 to August 2019) was 2.40 percent inflation.
