The May 2013 Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) in May 2013 was 104.89, up 0.24 percent compared to the April 2013 FTT which was 104.64. In addition, FTT according to the subsector was recorded for the Food Crop sub-sector (FTT-P) 88.07; Horticulture Subsector (NTP-H) 88.43; People's Plantation Plant Subsector (NTP-R) 132.01; Livestock Subsector (NTP-T) 112.94; and Fisheries Subsector (NTN) 106.64.
The results of monitoring of rural consumer prices show that rural inflation in West Sulawesi in May 2013 was 0.29 percent, which was generally triggered by an increase in the price index of all expenditure groups, namely food expenditure by 0.30 percent, processed food expenditure by 0, 45 percent, the housing expenditure group 0.08 percent, the clothing expenditure group 0.09 percent, the health expenditure group 0.16 percent, the education, recreation and sports expenditure group 0.48 percent, and the transportation and communication expenditure group 0.20 percent .
Inflation in rural areas occurred in 17 provinces, the highest in Maluku 0.60 percent and the lowest in Riau Islands 0.01 percent. While 15 provinces experienced rural deflation, the highest was South Kalimantan -0.46 percent and the lowest was West Sumatra -0.02 percent. West Sulawesi, which experienced inflation of 0.29 percent, ranked second from 17 provinces that experienced rural inflation
For the national scale, NTP in May 2013 was 104.95 and experienced rural deflation of 0.03 percent.
