Abstract
EXPORT OF SULAWESI BARAT PROVINCE GOODS JANUARY - DECEMBER 2009 The export value of West Sulawesi in the January-December 2009 period reached 60,442,187 US $. The export value is only for non-oil and gas exports, while for oil and gas there is no export in West Sulawesi. The biggest export value occurred in December which reached 16,741,656 US $ or around 27.70 percent, while the lowest occurred in March of 1,492,500 US $ or 2.47 percent. The development of non oil and gas exports during 2009 was higher compared to the same period in 2008 which only reached 25,576,073 US $. In percentage terms the increase was 136.32 percent. On a monthly basis, the highest increase in non-oil and gas exports occurred in December, which changed to 575.39 percent compared to the previous month. While the biggest decrease occurred in November, which amounted to -55.16 percent compared to the previous month. During January-December 2009, non-oil and gas exports were dominated by CPO (Crude Palm Oil), which entered into the Animal / Vegetable Fat and Oil group which reached 60,331,387 US $ or around 99.82 percent. While the remaining 0.13 percent occurred in the Oily Grains group of 78,000 US $ and 0.05 percent in the Vegetable Materials group of 32,800 US $. The non-oil and gas export destination countries for the January-December 2009 period were dominated by Vietnam, which was around 42.23 percent. Then followed by Malaysia by 29.41 percent, then China by 17.02 percent, the Netherlands by 6.29 percent, Singapore by 5.00 percent, and Hong Kong the lowest by 0.05 percent. The contribution of Sulawesi Barat exports during January-June 2009 to the national exports which reached the Sulawesi Barat export value based on the Free On Board (FOB) price in the January-December 2009 period reached 60,442,187 US $. The value of these exports is exports that occur in the non-oil and gas sector, while for oil and gas exports, in West Sulawesi does not yet exist. When compared in the same period in 2008, the development of Sulawesi Barat's export value experienced a very significant increase, from 25,576,073 US $ in 2008 to 60,442,187 US $ in 2009. The percentage increased 136.32 percent. The development of the export value of Sulawesi Barat was quite volatile during the January-December 2009. The largest export value occurred in December which reached 16,741,656 US $ or around 27.70 percent. While the lowest exports occurred in March amounted to 1,492,500 US $ or around 2.47 percent of the total in 2009.
