EXPORT SULAWESI BARAT PROVINCE GOODS, JANUARY-JUNE 2008; Sulawesi Barat exports in January-June 2008 reached 20,189,573 US $, respectively 13,235,868 US $ in the first quarter and 6,953,705 US $ in the second quarter of 2008, an increase of around 83.53 percent compared to the same time period of the year 2007 which amounted to 11,000,400 US $ (January-June 2007 period). ; Export commodities are generally dominated by CPO (Crude Palm Oil) or palm oil, with fluctuating volumes. During the first quarter to the second quarter of 2008 CPO exports decreased from 15,637.98 tons to 6,635.33 tons or decreased by around 57.57 percent. ; Export destinations are China, Vietnam and Singapore. CPO exports in the first quarter of 2008 were 3,724.05 tons (3,109,540 US $) to China and 11,913.48 tons (10,122,728 US $) to Vietnam. In addition, in the same quarter, there were also exports of other non-frozen crabs of 0.45 tons (3,600 US $) to Singapore. Whereas in the second quarter of 2008, only 1,498.00 tons (1,636,565 US $) of CPO were exported to China and 5,137.33 tons (5,317,140 US $) of exports to Vietnam. ; The average price of CPO per ton, from the first quarter to the second quarter of 2008 with the goal of the State of China has increased from 834.99 US $ per ton to 1,092.50 US $ per ton or an increase of 30.84 percent.
