Abstract

SULAWESI BARAT TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT JANUARY - DECEMBER 2009  The number of flights through Sulawesi Barat during the period January-December 2009 reached 720 flights, which means an increase of about 20.40 percent when compared with the same period in 2008 of 598 flights.  The number of air transport passengers departing and coming through Sulawesi Barat during January-December 2009 reached 15,542 people. If compared to 2008 which reached 15,041 people, it means that in 2009 it experienced an increase of around 3.33 percent.  The number of goods unloaded and loaded through the Tampa Padang Mamuju Airport in Sulawesi Barat during January-December 2009 reached 76,070 kg. When compared to 2008 which reached 81,085 kg, it means that in 2009 it decreased by around 6.18 percent  The number of shipping through Sulawesi Barat during the January-December 2009 period reached 2,633 units, which means an increase of about 13.88 percent when compared to the period the same in 2008 as many as 2,312 units.  The number of sea transport passengers departing and coming through West Sulawesi during January-December 2009 reached 60,162 people. When compared to 2008 which reached 64,438 people, it means that in 2009 it experienced a decrease of around 6.64 percent.
