; Based on the results of the Consumer Price Survey of 66 cities in Indonesia in June 2009, there were 47 cities experiencing inflation and 19 other cities experiencing deflation. Mamuju experienced inflation of 0.08 percent with CPI 118.90 and ranked 41st of cities experiencing inflation. The highest inflation in Tarakan was 1.44 percent with CPI 124.85 and the lowest was in Depok, Bekasi and Medan each 0.01% with CPI respectively 112.69, 112.43 and 112.61. While the price index for the clothing group and the transportation, communication and financial services group each dropped 0.18 percent and 0.60 percent. ; Commodities contributing to inflation are: pedigree chicken and milk fish respectively 0.03 percent, household fuel, long beans, spinach, live chickens, fresh fish katamba and apples respectively 0.02 percent, as well as young corn, fresh fish, sugar, washing machine, salt, coffee table, cayenne pepper, refrigerator / fridge, logs, young long bean leaves, laser printer, board, wet anchovies and white cabbage / cabbage respectively 0.01 percent each.
