Mamuju, August 5, 2024 – The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of West Sulawesi Province is one step closer to achieving ISO 9001:2015 certification after successfully holding the Stage 2 Audit Entry Meeting today. This event marked the start of the external audit process that will verify the conformity of BPS Sulbar's quality management system (QMS) with international standards.
"We have high hopes of being ISO certified. This will be an encouragement for other work units to follow BPS Sulbar's example," said Tina Wahyufitri, Head of BPS Sulbar, in her remarks.
She emphasized BPS Sulbar's commitment to continue improving services and becoming a role model for other work units in the eastern region.
Rakhma Indah Kurniasih, external auditor, explained the objectives and process of the audit that will last for two days. "The output of this activity is the issuance of an ISO 9001:2015 certificate for BPS of West Sulawesi Province," he explained.
He also emphasized the importance of the conformity of the SMM with the ISO 9001:2015 standard to achieve the expected results.
This audit is part of BPS Sulbar's ongoing efforts to improve the quality of integrated statistical services. By achieving ISO 9001:2015 certification, BPS Sulbar will be increasingly trusted as a provider of accurate and credible statistical data.
