Mamuju, July 25, 2024 – The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of West Sulawesi Province has successfully completed the Stage 1 ISO 9001:2015 Audit which was held in a hybrid manner at the BPS Sulbar Hall and via Zoom Meeting on Thursday, July 25, 2024. This audit is an important step for BPS Sulbar in an effort to improve the quality of integrated statistical services.
Rakhma Indah Kurniasih, an external auditor, appreciated BPS Sulbar's readiness in facing this audit. "In general, the results of the phase 1 audit are quite adequate. BPS Sulbar has shown good readiness to proceed to the phase 2 audit," he said.
Muhammad Said, Deputy Chair of Quality Management of BPS West Sulawesi Province, expressed his optimism regarding the ISO 9001:2015 certification process. "Our hope is of course to get ISO 9001:2015 certification. More than that, we want to improve the quality of service we provide according to international standards," he said.
This stage 1 audit focuses on reviewing BPS Sulbar's quality management system documents. Several notes for improvement have been submitted by the auditor, especially regarding the adjustment of the number and name of the clauses in the quality guidelines.
"We will follow up on the notes submitted. We are optimistic that we can meet all the requirements to achieve ISO 9001:2015 certification," Said added.
The stage 2 audit is planned to be carried out in the near future, involving representatives from each audited area. At this stage, the auditor will conduct a more in-depth review of the implementation of the quality management system in the field.
