Mamuju, 3 June 2024 – The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of West Sulawesi Province (Sulbar) recorded a decrease in the Hotel Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) in West Sulawesi in April 2024.
"TPK for Star Classified Hotels in West Sulawesi in April 2024 fell to 19.42 percent, from 22.58 percent in March 2024," said Head of BPS West Sulawesi, Tina Wahyufitri, in a press release held today.
The decrease in ROR for Star Classified Hotels also occurred at the national level, namely from 22.17 percent in March 2024 to 21.37 percent in April 2024.
"The decrease in TPK is likely influenced by several factors, such as the end of the school holidays and the fasting month," explained Tina.
Meanwhile, the TPK for non-star hotels or other accommodation in West Sulawesi in April 2024 also decreased from 17.28 percent in March 2024 to 16.52 percent in April 2024.
"The decrease in TPK for non-star hotels or other accommodation is also likely to be influenced by the same factors," said Tina.
