Statistics of Sulawesi Barat Province has released some strategic indicators, related to the consumer price index in September 2023, Farmers Term of Trade in September 2023, Foreign Trade in August 2023, overview of tourism in August 2023, and transport in August 2023. It was delivered by the Chief of Statistics Sulawesi Barat Province, Tina Wahyufitri, on Monday, October 2nd 2023.
Here's a summary of the data submitted:
I. September 2023 Mamuju experienced inflation year on year (yoy) of 1.19 percent
Based on the results of a 90 city consumer price survey in Indonesia in September 2023, the highest year on year (yoy) inflation occurred in Manokwari by 5.26 percent with CPI of 119.96 and the lowest occurred in Gorontalo and Manado with yoy inflation of each of 1.16 percent with CPI of 113.23 and 113.96. Yoy inflation in Mamuju was 1.19 percent with CPI of 115.84 ranks four lowest of 90 CPI.
Yoy inflation in the city of Mamuju occurs because of the price increase shown by the increase in most of the expenditure groups, namely the clothing and footwear group by 2.80 percent; Housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 1.60 percent; Groups of equipment, equipment, and household routine maintenance by 5.94 percent; health group by 4.59 percent; Transportation group by 2.57 percent; Recreation, sports and culture groups by 3.29 percent; education group by 0.75 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 2.16 percent; and private maintenance groups and other services by 5.60 percent. While the expenditure group that experienced a decline in index was the food, beverage and tobacco groups by 0.82 percent and the financial, communication and financial services group by 1.45 percent.
Month to Month (MTM) inflation rate in September 2023 is 0.08 percent and year to date inflation rate (YTD) or the September 2023 calendar year of 1.71 percent.
II. September 2023, the exchange rate of Sulawesi Barat farmers is 126.59. Up 4.17% compared to August 2023
NTP is an IT comparison of IB that is used to show the exchange power of agricultural products with goods and services consumed and for production costs. The higher the NTP, the relatively stronger the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers.
Starting in January 2020 a change of basic year was carried out in the calculation of the price index received by farmers (IT) and the price index paid by farmers (IB) from the 2012 Basic Year = 100 to the Basic Year 2018 = 100. Both types of indexes are components in the calculation of farmers' exchange rates (NTP). This basic year change is carried out to adjust changes in production patterns, production costs, and household consumption in rural areas. In the base year 2018 = 100 there was an increase in the scope of the number of commodities both in the IT and IB commodity packages compared to the 2012 Basic Year = 100.
Sulawesi Barat NTP September 2023 amounted to 126.59 or up 4.17 percent compared to August 2023 NTP which amounted to 121.52. The increase in NTP was caused by IT which increased by 3.37 percent, while IB had decreased by 0.77 percent.
NTP according to the subsector is recorded for the Food Crops Sub-sector (NTP-P) 102.42; Horticultural Subsector (NTP-H) 106.98; Community Plantation Plant Crops (NTP-R) 151.57; Animal Husbandry Subsector (NTP-T) 93.68; and Fisheries Sub-sector (NTN-P) 103.68.
III. During August 2023 the export value of Sulawesi Barat Province reached US $ 50.07 million, and there were no import activities to Sulawesi Barat Province
The export value of Sulawesi Barat Province in August 2023 reached US $ 50.07 million, down 2.71 percent compared to July 2023. Different conditions compared to August 2022 where there was an increase of 0.93 percent.
Animal/vegetable fats & oils are the main export commodities of Sulawesi Barat Province during August 2023 with a contribution of 97.50 percent of the total exports of Sulawesi Barat Province.
China became the largest destination country for the export of Sulawesi Barat Province during August 2023 with a contribution of 68.70 percent.
Cumulatively, the export value of Sulawesi Barat Province increased by 10.86 percent, from US $ 289.52 million (January-August 2022) to US $ 320.96 million (January-August 2023).
During August 2023, there were no import activities in Sulawesi Barat Province. This condition is different from July 2023 and August 2022 which recorded import activities.
Cumulatively, the import value of Sulawesi Barat Province rose by 270.43 percent, from US $ 2.85 million (January-August 2022) to US $ 10.56 million (January-August 2023).
Foreign Trade Statistics Data, is the result of compilation of trade transaction data between countries, both export and import transactions. Export statistical data is a realization data from trading transactions sourced in the Export Notification Document (PEB). Whereas import statistical data, sourced from the goods import notification document (PIB). The document was approved by the Customs and Excise and Excise Services Office (KPPBC). In its preparation, the type of commodity is grouped based on the Harmonized System (HS) classification as in the Indonesian Customs Rates (BTKI). Besides that, it also contains information about trade transportation traffic in the port of export goods to the destination country and the port of unloading from the country of origin of imported goods.
IV. In August 2023, Bintang Classification Hotel TPK was 39.90 percent and non -star hotel TPK or other accommodation was 20.40 percent
Room occupancy rate (TPK) Hotel Star Classification in Sulawesi Barat Province in the August 2023 period of 39.90 percent. The TPK decreased by 3.89 points compared to the July 2023 period which was recorded at 43.79 percent.
Room occupancy rate (TPK) of non -star hotels or other accommodation in Sulawesi Barat Province in the August 2023 period of 20.40 percent. The TPK decreased by 0.64 points compared to the July 2023 period which was recorded at 21.04 percent.
The average length of staying of the archipelago guests in the August 2023 period at the star classification hotel was recorded at 1.05 days or decreased by 0.06 days compared to the July 2023 period which was recorded at 1.11 days. Meanwhile, the average length of stay of foreign guests at the star classification hotel was recorded at 1.00 days or did not change when compared to last month's conditions.
The average number of guests per hotel room classification in the August 2023 period was recorded at 1.99 people or did not change when compared to last month's conditions. Meanwhile, the average number of guests per non-star hotel room or other accommodation in the August 2023 period was recorded at 2.00 people or an increase of 0.03 points when compared to the July 2023 period of 1.97 people.
V. The number of aircraft departed and arrived in August 2023 was 40 and 40 aircraft, the number of ships came and departed in August 2023 as many as 191 ships
The number of aircraft passengers departing in August 2023 was 2,186 passengers, decreased by 12.73 percent compared to July which was recorded at 2,505 passengers.
The number of aircraft passengers who arrived in August 2023 was 1,970 passengers, decreased by 18.90 percent compared to July which was recorded at 2,429 passengers.
The number of ship passengers departing in August 2023 was 866 passengers, decreased by 34.49 percent compared to July which was recorded at 1,322 passengers.
The number of ship passengers who arrived in August 2023 was 592 passengers, decreased by 20.32 percent compared to July which was recorded at 743 passengers.
