Statistics of Sulawesi Barat Province has released some strategic indicators, related to the consumer price index in May 2022, Farmers Term of Trade in May 2022, overview of tourism in April 2022, transport in April 2022, and Foreign Trade in April 2022. It was delivered by the Chief of Statistics Distribution in Statistics Sulawesi Barat Province,Fredy Takaya, in live streaming on Thursday, 2nd June 2022.

 

Here's a summary of the data submitted:

I. In May 2022, Mamuju experienced inflation of 0.69 percent

  • Inflation in the city of Mamuju occurred because of the price increase shown by the increase in several expenditure group indexes, namely the food, beverage and tobacco groups 1.30 percent; clothing and footwear groups 0.72 percent; Housing, water, electricity and household fuel groups 0.08 percent; health group 0.02 percent; Transportation group 0.71 percent; Information, Communication and Financial Services Group 0.21 percent; Recreation, sports and culture group 0.12 percent; Food and beverage/restaurant supply group 0.04 percent; and private maintenance groups and other services 0.64 percent. While the expenditure group that experiences deflation is a group of equipment, equipment, and routine household maintenance 0.06 percent.

  • The calendar year index change rate in May 2022 in Mamuju recorded a 3.21 percent inflation and the index change rate of the year (May 2022 against May 2021) showed an inflation of 3.49 percent.

  • Based on the results of a consumer price survey of 90 cities in Indonesia in May 2022, it shows that 87 cities experienced inflation and 3 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan by 2.24 percent and the lowest occurred in Gunungsitoli by 0.05 percent. While the highest deflation occurred in Kotamobagu by 0.21 percent and the lowest occurred in Merauke by 0.02 percent.


II. May 2022, the exchange rate of Sulawesi Barat farmers was 114.00. Down 10.41% compared to April 2022

  • NTP is a comparison of IT to IB that is used to show the exchange power of agricultural products with goods and services consumed and for production costs. The higher the NTP, the relatively stronger the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers.

  • Starting in January 2020 a change of basic year was carried out in the calculation of the price index received by farmers (IT) and the price index paid by farmers (IB) from the 2012 base year = 100 to the basic year 2018 = 100. Both types of indexes are components in the calculation of farmers' exchange rates (NTP). This basic year change is carried out to adjust changes in production patterns, production costs, and household consumption in rural areas. In the base year 2018 = 100 there was an increase in the scope of the number of commodities both in the IT and IB commodity packages compared to the 2012 Basic Year = 100.

  • Sulawesi Barat NTP May 2022 amounted to 114.00 or down 10.41 percent compared to NTP April 2022 which amounted to 127.24. NTP decline was caused by IT which experienced a sharp decline of 10.18 percent while IB experienced a slight increase of 0.25 percent.

  • NTP according to the subsector is recorded for the Food Crops Subsector (NTP-P) 100,98; Horticultural Subsector (NTP-H) 107.44; Community Plantation Plant Crops (NTP-R) 126.14; Livestock Subsector (NTP-T) 96.65; and Fisheries Subsector (NTN-P) 108.84.


III. In April 2022, the Bintang Classification Hotel TPK was 17.12 percent, decreased by 14.04 points compared to March 2022 and other accommodation TPK was 19.26 percent, decreased by 4.49 points compared to March 2022

  • Room occupancy rate (TPK) Hotel Star Classification in Sulawesi Barat Province in the April 2022 period of 17.12 percent. The TPK decreased by 14.04 points compared to the March 2022 period which was recorded at 31.16 percent.

  • Other accommodation room occupancy rates in Sulawesi Barat Province in the April 2022 period of 19.26 percent. The TPK decreased by 4.49 points compared to the March 2022 period which was recorded at 23.75 percent.

  • The average length of staying of the archipelago guests in April 2022 in the star classification hotel was recorded at 1.17 days or decreased by 0.27 days compared to the March 2022 period which was recorded at 1.45 days. Meanwhile, there were no foreign guests who stayed or decreased compared to last month which was recorded at 1.00 days.

  • The average number of guests per hotel room classification in the April 2022 period was recorded at 1.89 people or did not change when compared to the March 2022 period which was also recorded at 1.89 people.

  • The average number of guests per other accommodation room in the April 2022 period was recorded at 1.94 people or an increase of 0.06 points compared to the March 2022 period which was recorded at 1.88 people.


IV. The number of aircraft departed in April 2022 as many as 44 aircraft, increased 12.82 percent compared to March 2022 and the number of ships came in April 2022 as many as 179 ships, decreased 24.47 percent compared to March 2022

  • The number of aircraft passengers departing in April 2022 was 2,063 passengers, an increase of 2.08 percent compared to March 2022 which was recorded at 2,021 passengers.

  • The number of aircraft passengers who arrived in April 2022 was 1,935 passengers, decreased by 7.59 percent compared to March 2022 which was recorded at 2,094 passengers.

  • The number of ship passengers departing in April 2022 was 744 passengers, decreased by 51.88 percent compared to March 2022 which was recorded at 1,546 passengers.

  • The number of ship passengers who arrived in April 2022 was 1,025 passengers, decreased by 24.69 percent compared to March 2022 which was recorded at 1,361 passengers.


V. During April 2022, the export value of Sulawesi Barat Province reached US $ 48.65 million, up 161.36 percent compared to the value in March 2022 and there was no record of import activities in Sulawesi Barat Province

  • Foreign Trade Statistics Data, is the result of compilation of trade transaction data between countries, both export and import transactions. Export statistical data is a realization data from trading transactions sourced in the Export Notification Document (PEB). Whereas import statistical data, sourced from the Import notification document (PIB). The document was approved by the Customs and Excise and Excise Services Office (KPPBC). In its preparation, the type of commodity is grouped based on the Harmonized System (HS) classification as in the Indonesian Customs Rates (BTKI). Besides that, it also contains information about trade transportation traffic in the port of export goods to the destination country and the port of unloading from the country of origin of imported goods.

  • The export value of Sulawesi Barat Province in April 2022 reached US $ 48.65 million, up 161.36 percent compared to March 2022. Different conditions compared to April 2021 where there was a decrease of 19.25 percent.

  • Animal/Vegetable Oil is a major export commodity in Sulawesi Barat Province during April 2022 with a contribution of 85.55 percent of the total exports of Sulawesi Barat Province.

  • The Philippines, South Korea and China became the largest destination country of the export of Sulawesi Barat Province during April 2022.

  • Cumulatively, the export value of Sulawesi Barat Province dropped by 33.20 percent, from US $ 208.28 million (January-April 2021) to US $ 139.13 million (January-April 2022).

  • During April 2022, there was no record of import activities in Sulawesi Barat Province.

  • During the January-April 2022 period, the value of imports of Sulawesi Barat Province experienced an increase of US $ 0.64 million when compared to the same period in the previous year recorded at US $ 0.39 million.
