Development of Indonesian Democracy Index in Sulawesi Barat Province 2022

Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI) Data is a fact of democracy in all provinces in Indonesia. IDI data is used as a measure of political development in Indonesia and is listed as a government target in the RPJMN. The publication of the Development of the Indonesian Democracy Index in Sulawesi Barat Province 2022 is a publication that provides an overview of the condition of Indonesian democracy through 3 (three) aspects, namely the freedom aspect, the equality aspect, and the capacity aspect of democratic institutions. This publication is routinely published by BPS-Statistics Sulawesi Barat Province. The publication of the Development of the Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI) in Sulawesi Barat Province 2022 includes IDI data from measurements using a new method that has been carried out since 2021. Improvements to the old method of IDI were carried out taking into account the old method of IDI's perspective which only focused on the political perspective. Meanwhile, the democratic theory that is currently developing sees democracy from a broader perspective where its aspects include politics, social and economics. Thus, IDI 2020 is the last IDI to use the old method.
