Abstract
The total workforce based on the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) in February 2024 was 773.28 thousand people, an increase of 55.28 thousand people compared to February 2023. The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) increased by 4.01 percentage points to 71.63 in February 2024.
The open unemployment rate (TPT) for February 2024 was 3.02 percent, down 0.02 percentage points compared to February 2023.
The working population was 749.90 thousand people, an increase of 53.75 thousand people compared to February 2023. The employment sector that experienced the largest percentage increase was the Trade Sector (3.00 percentage points). Meanwhile, the sector that experienced the largest decline was the Construction Sector (3.87 percentage points).
A total of 68.95 percent (517.06 thousand people) worked in informal activities, an increase of 0.43 percentage points compared to February 2023.
The percentage of underemployed workers increased by 1.39 percentage points, while the percentage of part-time workers decreased by 1.39 percentage points compared to February 2023.
