Abstract

  • The export value of Sulawesi Barat Province in February 2024 reached US$ 30.99 million, an increase of 18.03 percent compared to January 2024. The conditions were the same compared to February 2023, where there was an increase of 30.19 percent.

  • Animal/vegetable fats & oils are the main export commodities of Sulawesi Barat Province during February 2024 with a contribution of 91.49 percent of the total exports of Sulawesi Barat Province.

  • South Korea is the main export destination country for Sulawesi Barat Province during February 2024 with a contribution of 48.11 percent.

  • During February 2024, the import value of Sulawesi Barat Province was US$ 0.38 million. This condition is different from January 2024 where no imports were recorded. The conditions are the same when compared to February 2023, where no imports were recorded

  • Cumulatively, the import value of Sulawesi Barat Province fell by 36.35 percent, from US$ 0.59 million (January-February 2023) to US$ 0.38 million (January-February 2024).

  • Foreign trade statistical data is the result of a compilation of trade transaction data between countries, both export and import transactions. Export statistical data is realization data from trade transactions sourced from the Goods Export Notification (PEB) document. Meanwhile, import statistical data is sourced from the Goods Import Notification (PIB) document. Documents are approved by the Customs and Excise Supervision and Services Office (KPPBC). In its preparation, commodity types are grouped based on the Harmonized System (HS) classification as in the Indonesian Customs Tariff Book (BTKI). Apart from that, it also contains information regarding trade transportation traffic at the port of loading of export goods to the destination country and the port of unloading from the country of origin of the imported goods.
