Abstract
The number of workforce in August 2021 was 708.75 thousand people, fell 8.58 thousand people compared to February 2021. In line with the decline in the number of workforce, the level of labor force participation (TPAK) also fell by 1.44 percent of points.
The open unemployment rate (TPT) August 2021 was 3.13 percent, down 0.15 percent of points compared to February 2021.
The population who worked as much as 686.54 thousand people, decreased by 7.29 thousand people from February 2021. Jobs that experienced the largest percentage increase were the construction sector (1.22 percent of points). While the sector has experienced the biggest decline, namely the large and retail trade sector, car and car care and motorbikes (2.24 percent points).
499.78 thousand people (72.80 percent) worked on informal activities, down 3.92 percent of points compared to February 2021.
The percentage of half-unemployed workers rose by 2.89 percentage points, while the percentage of part-time workers fell by 2.82 percent points compared to February 2021.
There were 81.06 thousand people (8.04 percent of the working age population) affected by Covid-19.
