Abstract

• The economy of Sulawesi Barat second quarter of 2020 as measured by Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices reached 11.32 trillion rupiah, while at constant prices in 2010 reached 7.92 trillion rupiah.
• Economy of Sulawesi Barat second quarter of 2020 when compared to the same quarter in 2019 (y-on-y) contracted by 0.78 percent. According to the business sector, the highest growth of 5.30 percent in the business field of Information and Communication. As for the expenditure side, the contraction was lowest in the Household Consumption Expenditure components of 0.74.
• Economy of Sulawesi Barat in the second quarter of 2020 q-to-q contraction of 1.27 percent. Achieved the highest growth by business field of Information and Communication of 5.38 percent. On the expenditure side the highest growth achieved by the Government Consumption Expenditure components of 50.96 percent.
• The cumulative (I-II quarter) in 2020 when compared with the same condition in 2019 (c-to-c), Sulawesi Barat economy grew by 2.00 percent. The highest growth of the field of business is Information and Communication by 7.01 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the components of Household Consumption Expenditure amounted to 1.60 percent.
• On a regional scale in Central Sulawesi, Maluku, Papua, economic growth is the highest region in the second quarter of 2020 (q-to-q) in Papua of 3.45 percent. In y-on-y, the highest economic growth in the second quarter of 2020 occurred in Papua 4.52 percent. Thus q-to-q and y-on-y, Sulawesi Barat occupy respectively the fifth and sixth position for Sulampua region. And cumulatively up to the second quarter (the first half) in 2020, the highest growth occurred in Papua, which amounted to 3.00 percent.
