Abstract

Sulawesi Barat Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) October 2018 amounting to 110.50; down 0.83 percent compared to the September 2018 NTP. In addition, the NTP according to the subsector was recorded for the Food Crop Subsector (NTP-P) 100.79; Horticulture Subsector (NTP-H) 114,92; Community Plantation Crop Subsector (NTP-R) 117.82; Livestock Subsector (NTP-T) 105.83; and Fisheries Subsector (NTN) 107.99

The results of monitoring of rural consumer prices indicate that the rural inflation in Sulawesi Barat in October 2018 amounted to 0.10 percent, which was generally triggered by a large increase in the expenditure group price index.

Inflation in rural areas occurred in 24 provinces in Indonesia, the highest in West Sumatra at 0.94 percent and the lowest in DKI Jakarta by 0.01 percent. While 9 other provinces experienced deflation, the highest in Maluku was 0.73 percent and the lowest was in the Riau Islands 0.04 percent. Sulawesi Barat ranks 19th out of 24 provinces experiencing rural inflation.

For national scale, the NTP in October 2018 is 103.02; decreased by 0.14 percent compared to September 2018, and experienced rural inflation of 0.35 percent.
