Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rates (NTP) of West Sulawesi in October 2015 amounted to 106.31; an increase of 0.47 percent compared to the September 2015 NTP of 105.82. In addition, FTT according to the subsector was recorded for the Food Crop sub-sector (FTT-P) 103.21; Horticulture Subsector (NTP-H) 100,84; People's Plantation Plant Subsector (NTP-R) 113.89; Animal Husbandry Subsector (NTP-T) 103.41; and Fisheries Subsector (NTN) 99.85. Fisheries Subsector FTT is formed from a combination of capture fisheries and aquaculture that have FTT each of 100.83 and 98.10.

The results of monitoring consumer prices in rural areas showed that rural inflation in West Sulawesi in October 2015 was 0.09 percent, which was generally triggered by an increase in the price index of four expenditure groups, where the price index of the processed food, beverage, cigarette, and tobacco expenditure group increased by 0 , 47 percent, the housing expenditure group price index by 0.08 percent, the health expenditure group index by 0.34 percent, and the transportation and communication expenditure group by 0.13 percent. Meanwhile, the price index of the food expenditure group dropped by -0.08 percent and the clothing expenditure group price index by -0.03 percent. The price index of education, recreation and sports expenditure groups tends to be stable.

Inflation in rural areas occurred in 17 provinces in Indonesia, the highest in North Sulawesi 0.68 percent and the lowest in West Nusa Tenggara 0.05 percent. Meanwhile rural deflation occurred in 16 provinces, the highest in Bangka Belitung -0.81 percent and the lowest in Bali -0.02 percent. West Sulawesi ranks 16th out of 17 provinces experiencing inflation.

For the national scale, the NTP for October 2015 was 102.46; an increase of 0.13 percent compared to September 2015, and experienced rural deflation of -0.04 percent.
