A.PADI (Lowland Rice + Field Rice)
The Fixed Figures (ATAP) of West Sulawesi (Sulbar) Province rice production in 2012 amounted to 412,338 tons of Dry Milled Grain (GKG). An increase of about 46,655 tons (12.76 percent) compared to rice production in 2011 (365,683 tons). Many factors are the cause but the biggest effect on increasing rice production in 2012 in West Sulawesi is an increase in harvested area of around 7,449 ha (9.76 percent), besides rice productivity has also increased by about 1.31 kw / ha (2 , 73 percent).
The results of the calculation of the Forecast Number (ARAM) II in 2013 is estimated that West Sulawesi Paddy production will again increase by approximately 16,668 tons (4.04 Percent) compared to 2012, in other words the estimated end of 2013 rice production is around 429,006 tons. This figure is the January-August production realization figure plus the September-December forecast. The increase was triggered by the addition of 2013 rice harvest area of approximately 6,269 ha (7.48 Percent).
B. CORN
The Fixed Figures (ATAP) of West Sulawesi Province's 2012 corn production was 122,554 tons of dry shelled, an increase of 39,559 tons (47.66 percent) compared to 2011's production of 82,995 tons. The increase in corn production was triggered by an increase in harvested area of 7,769 ha (44.72 percent) compared to 2011. While in terms of productivity it increased by 0.97 quintals / hectare (2.03 percent) compared to 2011.
Forecast Figures II (ARAM II) corn production in West Sulawesi Province in 2013 was 121,232 tons of dry shelled or decreased by 1,322 tons (-1.08 percent) compared to 2012 production. The decline was caused by a decrease in corn crop productivity by 3 kw / ha (-6.85 percent). While the harvested area in 2013 is estimated to increase by around 1,559 (6.20 percent).
C. SOYBEAN
The ROOF of soybean production in West Sulawesi Province in 2012 was 3,222 tons of dry beans, an increase compared to 2011's production of 789 tons (32.42 percent). The difference in soybean production was due to the addition of soybean harvest area in 2012 around 257 ha (20.78 Percent) increase was also supported by an increase in productivity of about 2.15 kw / ha (15.59 percent).
Forecast Figures II soybean production in West Sulawesi Province in 2013 is estimated at 2,157 tons of dry beans or down about 1,047 tons (-32.49 percent) compared to 2012. The significant decline was caused by changes in cropping patterns in 2013, production and the remaining plants at the end of August which are usually quite high in subround 2, currently only reach 305 tons and 565 ha.
